Spirit Bear Virtual School
The Spirit Bear Virtual School supports educators across Canada in their learning about the Caring Society's campaigns and initiatives for social justice and reconciliation.
On this website, you will find resources created jointly by the Caring Society alongside the University of Ottawa and teachers within the Ottawa-Gatineau region. The resources were developed for elementary-level students based on research conducted with teachers about the impacts of the Caring Society's campaigns on elementary students. However, these resources can be adapted for older learners and accessed by anyone.
Here you will find Spirit Bear's Beary Caring Curriculum and learning guides for the Caring Society's campaigns, videos featuring educators with experience in reconciliation and social justice education, and links to Spirit Bear's films, books, podcasts, and many other resources to support your teaching and learning.
